How does SidePlate work with You?

If you have received drawings specifying SidePlate, then...

Step 1: Proceed to our client portal located at the top right corner of our site, or contact the SidePlate Regional Engineer in your area for more information. Both the portal and your SidePlate representative will walk you through the process of completing the licensing process and the transfer of project files and information. If SidePlate is not specified on your drawings, then contact your Regional Engineer to review the project.

Step 2: Once you have reviewed the project with your Regional Engineer and shared the project details through our portal, a Project Manager is assigned to your project and our engineering team will provide back to you a detailed Excel estimating file for the SidePlate connections. We will also provide an XML file for modeling/estimating in TEKLA and SDS/2.

Step 3: A SidePlate Project Manager(PM) will do a kick-off meeting with your steel team and review any relevant shop drawings. Our PM will come to your shop at the start of fabrication to answer any questions and share best practices.

Step 4: The SidePlate PM will visit the site during erection to answer any questions or help address any installation issues that may arise.
